MOD has pulled out… It seems that nobody wants that job. The Galway County Board might have to save face, by giving it to Davy. It's not going to look good if they give it to a total newbie to inter-county management for a second time in a row. That might end up being how Galway do two-in-a-row!

It ll be very interesting to see what direction the Galway managerial selection committees go now. I see there's still 3 or 4 on their list and Davy isn't one. I think that they maybe need to open it up again as people didn't put themselves forward as MOD was going for it.
There has to be a question asked about the reason MOD pulled out..like what occurred there? There is a amateur hour feel about the Galway County board that doesn't seem to go away. If ever a county needs a professional at the top,it's Galway.

Very odd that there isnt a queue of managers applying for that job with the conveyor belt of young talented hurlers Galway have.

I don't think Eddie Brennan's CV is going to be boosted by the Dublin championship.

Even a slightly better degree of accuracy by Brigids on Sunday would have been curtains for Cuala and a humiliating end to the year.

Can't even see them reaching the final, and certainly won't win it.

A lot of their slippage has to be down to coaching. Takes a peculiar set up to reduce Con to near anonymity in fairness.
