Fans At Championship Matches

How big a factor do you think they are in the outcome of matches?

My opinion? Huge. Mayo players fed of the fans on saturday, and they in turn gave the fans back the scores which fed the momentum. Makes me wonder what difference even 24,000 may have made to the outcome of last years All Ireland Final.

Well Dublin were playing at home and had fans there as well.

Yes fans have a big input on players performances. It works the other way too. I hate to hear fans booing opponents taking frees etc. I'm convinced the encouragement of fans can top the balance in a tight game and none than the likes of Mayo and Dublin fans

Big difference, even at club level you notice them for me.
I loved the roar of the crowd in the recent club matches. Couldn't beat it.
