Has a manager been appointed yet?

Yes, Sean Smith, Barry McGahan, Niall McDermott, and Liam Brady have been confirmed as the U17 Management team for 2022.

Not bad, I wonder does that mean Liam Brady won't be in for senior panel?

Hard to say. He's had a great year, I'd say he might be there and maybe it won't interfere with the U17s. Seanie is the main manager with the 3 backing up as far as I'm aware, so he may get some leeway here. Niall Mc too. He's been great last few years, might have thought he'd get another look in the county as he's still so good, even being the wrong side of 30 now

Quite a youthful management team which I think is great. Barry and Seanie will have plenty of experience to bring to the table too. Niall and Liam will surely bring some energy and playing the modern game the team should relate very well to them. I think it's an excellent appointment all round.

Can someone please provide a background on Seanie achievements to date?

Find it bizarre appointing Brady as a selector with him obvious number 2 to Ray.

As Terry Hyland told finbarr reilly when he was managing lacken u17's " you cant serve two masters at the game time".

I ask myself the question, would this happen in Tyrone or Donegal?

Seems clueless to me. Sure its only the u17, what about it

Why do you think a goalkeeper is obvious number 2 to his club manager?

He means obvious number 2 to Ray Galligan at County level. You'd think the demands of being in every match day panel and at every training session would mean he wouldn't have the time required to give the U17s the necessary attention it requires to bring players at that age on to the next level

He did manage Mullahoran to an Intermediate title and an Ulster final. May have done more than that, but not sure. Not sure about Brady, maybe that says he's not in with the county in the coming year. Could just be goalie coaching though, shouldn't be too hard to do for a No. 2 to Galligan to be honest

Ray Galligan was poor for the county last year. If I was over the seniors I would be giving the whole league to the "2nd" Keeper to see what he is made off. Galligan will go one day and we have no one lined up that has even played a game or two which is not good.

I see the Connacht council are streaming their games, I wonder will the ever progressive Ulster council do the same?

Heard they played Roscommon on Sunday behind closed doors in Mullahoran and were hammered off the field.

In Fairness the Cavan lads the Rossies only pulled away from us in the last 55mins of the game I believe so there's some positives to take there.

Definitely didn't get hammered off the pitch, there was only a couple of points in it. Rossies looked sharper alright but it was poor stuff in tough conditions. What I will say is that Cavan will need to be more attack minded or there's no chance of getting out of Div 4. Back to lateral passing. Big G and McLaughlin in good shape. The rest..... not so much! The McKenna cup should tell the tale, at least 1 win needed before the Leitrim game. Won't be easy getting out of Carrick with 2 points, and there no great shakes.
