Replying To Kerry15:  "I'd fancy Meath in the final. From watching Tyrone against Cork and the first half against Donegal I think the main reason they're winning is their physical strength and power. Every single player looks big, strong and powerful. The only players I could pick out though as outstanding are Devlin at 11 who looks very good and McElholm at corner forward. Meath for me look to be better footballers. They still are physically strong but I think they've more quality. Kelly at 3 and Corbett at 6 are excellent. Emmanuel at 11 is a very exciting prospect, very well rounded. Corcoran and Finlay the 2 corner forwards are scorers. Meath to win for me but it will be tight."
Fair play to you lad, you knew your stuff.

Indeed. I was surprised by the lack of acknowledgement towards Meath minors by majority of people and pundits.
They seemed to be equating senior provincials with underage one, Tyrone were no doubt the stand out in ulster but I think it was Tyrones power and conditioning that stood to them, I was talking to a Tyrone supporter on way in and said to me that not one of the Meath players would get on the Tyrone team, I said I think he maybe in for a shock. Anyone who was watching this team during the whole year would have had them fav (not by much). I said earlier in this thread that Tyrone hadn't faced anything like this Meath team, and I was happy to say when I watched game back on Saturday night O,bric said the exact same thing, you could tell by his interview prior to match he felt his players and team were been disrespected. I saw very little of anyone giving Meath a hope of winning.
I would have been extremely surprised if we didn't win, we let Tyrone back into it in last 5 mins due to nerves, but there is no doubt Meath were the better team , better footballers , and deserved winners. Hard luck to Tyrone again, some exciting players and I'll be honest you gave us a harder game than I thought you would. So I see a few games at u20 been between our counties and if we both keep things as should be I see a few at senior too.
