Where Are They Now?

(Oldest Posts First)

without going "googling" Cavan had a Conor Madden and Darrent McVity playing a few years back, the latter opted out for a break last year as far as I can recall, Conor Madden I am not sure but dont recall him featuring this year (I stand corrected but I didnt see much of Cavans games with other games on)....just wondering what became of both and if they will be back...the lead up to matches in the last 2 years and the previews these two were mentioned as being real score getters for them...

thanks...and was it Martin Dunne(??) who was in flying form for Cavan a few years back, got involved in the altercation I think against Armagh in the parade and as far as I know he got a broken arm in that melee...he never came back to the same player at all...its funny how things happen and players form goes...

Yeah, Madden came on in the Tyrone game.

Dunne played out that season (2014) and didn't make himself available for selection again. That was a shame, he was unbelievable the previous year.

Dunne got a very raw deal in that scrap, I like Armagh but I believe he was targetted in the parade deliberately as his form was awesome, I mean he was Peter Reilly type form at that time...arm broke then, and what a pity he opted out, he must have got a raw deal, he was suspended after that brawl I think...maybe he said to hell with this, I know there is the other side of the story, but for such a talent to quit fully must have been caused by some sense of injustice..does he play even club now and if so for who and what level??

He was nominated for an All Star in 2013 was he?

Am I right in saying he didn't play underage with Cavan? But won a Leinster title with the Junior team?

He plays senior with Cavan Gaels and still has a great eye for goal.

If I remember rightly, he did play a couple of challenges for our minors early one year, but left the panel to focus on his leaving cert.

He was already showing huge promise and racking up crazy scores at club and schools level.
