Normal Scorelines Are Making A Return

(Oldest Posts First)

watched the U20 Leinster hurling final last night, great game of hurling, good honest clashes and no quarters aske d or given. Galway were marginally the better team, and hats off to the Dublin goal keeper who may have made a mistake for the 1st goal but lordy me he kept Dublin in the game with some outstanding saves, as too did the Galway keeper when called on. A final score of 2-15 to 0-15 meant scores were fairly frequent but not every few seconds without any real tackling or challenges. Hats off to both teams. The semi finals were equally competitive and its good to see a few normal scorelines in both codes in all grades over the last couple of weeks...Connaugh final score was such too on Sunday last, as was Leinster semi final scores in football 2 weeks ago...games are better when there is more action in them. I would say the players even get more satisfaction out of them.

Also have you noticed the rucks have reduced significantly. I complained about them vigourless earlier but as the season got going not really an issue.

Ime not sure about the rucks, thats where play is held up so to speak, and its not ping pong from goalie to RB to LRB and over the bar from insided his own half often is the normal work rate almost now..
