Split season is coming in so more April club month which was a stupid idea right from the start. Seeding a championship based on provincials is a non starter. Down, Waterford, and Sligo are not at the same level.

Meath beat Dublin in the semi final.

You did well to stick watching those games til at least half time. I wonder what the Sky viewing figures would be....would the numbers watching have stayed in 4 figures for the entire broadcast? Traditionally the pride of playing for your county was a huge thing for good young footballers but J wonder in this day and age if a good young footballer would think of about 100 other things they would prefer doing than training hard for months to endure the inevitable hammering when representing their county.

None. Warwickshire would paste them.

Meath and Kildare. Sorry, I mean Meath or Kildare, not the pick of the two of them together.

The bookies are the ones with the best knowledge. I thought Clare would put up a better show myself but the bookies did nt.

Here we go again. Another game over at half time. Down unlucky with the bad decision for the goal which should have been a free out but they are not at the races here. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 27/06/2021 13:51:40 2353726 Link 0 |
I wouldn't put it past the Dubs if we had another "Crying Game". :-).

Kerry are the only team that might beat Dublin this year (I'd give Kerry a one in 5 chance of coming through a Dublin tie if they end up playing this year) bdbuddah (Meath) - Posts: 1338 - 27/06/2021 14:08:49 2353735 Link 1 |

We all know there are maybe 6 teams who have any chance of winning all ireland football title, but the hidings yesterday and today mean the Gaa need to get something right very quickly or no interest will be retained at all.. CTGAA10 (Limerick) - Posts: 2208 - 27/06/2021 14:45:02 2353748 Link 0 |
A change is coming but neither proposal is good. Provincial groups of 8 which involves moving 3 Leinster counties into Munster to be hammered by Kerry. Or a League proposal where Div 4 sides can qualify for an All-Ireland QF ahead of higher placed counties.

Michael Duignan, Chair of Offaly County Board, is on RTE for a munster hurling match when his own senior football team are playing their first round. Says it all. Eddie the Exile (Monaghan) - Posts: 1057 - 27/06/2021 15:53:05 2353777 Link 3 |
A hurling man through and through. Why on earth would he show up to support his county in football.

He is the county chairman.

May be Duignan has a contact with RTE instead of not caring about his County? Ban (Westmeath) - Posts: 1415 - 27/06/2021 18:04:01 2353838 Link 0 |
That's my point.

Delighted we lost today, we have kept our place in Div 3 and playing Dublin would be of no use to us. sponger (Wicklow) - Posts: 2897 - 27/06/2021 18:35:22 2353855 Link 2 |
It was only Louth they were playing.
