Would be great to be heading down to Wexford for the game. Great to see a few thousand in Croke park but should have been a lot more.

Well since donal keoghan is a Meath player I'd bet him. But sure who cares. The rest of Ireland team still wouldn't beat Dublin

Poor enough fare in the Hyde. Galway will need big improvement v Mayo or no hopers.

I don't see how that performance today warrants a favourites tag for this years All Ireland. We are definitely not at the same level after all the retirements no matter what anyone might say. This is very much an opportunity for the contenders.

I think you are wrong. I hope Galway prove you wrong, I know Meath won't.

Well it was a new experience. First time playing an away game in Leinster since 2006 lol. Joking aside I did nt see game but was pretty low scoring alright. I would nt judge Dublin on that. Its a case of job done and I'm sure they ll be happy enough to come out injury free and gave a championship game under their belt. Its a real case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. If the wexicanscwere destroyed today everyone would be downing the leinster championship again. This is a win win for Dublin.

Meath are now favourites based on todays performances, and with our legend calling it a day, we'll have to slog it out I guess.

I heard someone say this was Dubs lowest winning margin in Leinster since 2012.One thing for certain its the first time in a while the bookies caught caught with the handicap with Dublin.

They did enough to overcome a team that threw the kitchen sink at it. Fair play to them. Once they got a lead they were happy enough to camp on the Wexford 40 and throw the ball around. Had a few goal chances but never looked like they were bothered much if they got one or not.

Possibility that they will one day fall flat, and the blending of experience and youth always has the potential to come unstuck. Happens to all great teams eventually.

Bit surprised watching Monaghan/Fermanagh on BBC, much discussion regarding how crucial it is for Monaghan that McManus gets back quickly, but nothing on how really nasty the foul was even tho no free was given.

We may squeeze another all Ireland out of this bunch but our time at the top is coming to an end. And I'm not just saying that because of the performance today. I've Been saying it for awhile now. The fact is, the players that have replaced the retirees, although good players, are simply not at the level of the the players they've replaced. And our squad is nowhere near as strong. Our bench won us all Irelands in the past, that bench doesn't exist anymore.

So I really do think we are coming close to the end of this great era. But I can have no complaints. We've had some run of it :D

Have to agree we've regressed significantly, even from last year. Think we're seeing a rebuild. No All Ireland for Dublin this year and maybe a few years. Man what fun we had though.

I'll comfort myself watching Brian Howard over the next few years, he's such an incredible footballer, on today's form he's the best footballer in Ireland.

I cannot see this Dublin team winning an AI this year. Dont like Dessie Farrells "style" if blandness can be classed as a style. Costelloe upfront doesnt work at all for me, thank god for the hurling is all I can say.

Mick open your eyes , Dublin are in a serious decline ,the subs bench is really poor

I can't understand the pesisism over one game.Meath will certainly not be favourites and we don't know full story with Clucko yet. He is taking a break but has nt made up his mind yet. On Dublin we ll know more v Meath.

Now I have to admit I did nt see today's game but I totally disagree with you on your view on Costello upfront. Maybe he was poor today(I don't know).but he has been Dubs best forward during the league. Also Dublin def would nt have beaten Mayo in 17 without Costello brilliance. Dublin are just finding their feet. Last years championship was a stroll for them through other results falling their way so it's a slow build up. A tad harsh on Dessie too. Judge him in 2 or 3 years. I recall many Dubs in red parrot pub calling for Gavins head in 14 after Donegal. We all know how that ended. On a final note Dubs have nt been beaten you know.

Can't judge Dubs on last year User. No disrespect to Mayo but Mayo were a struggling team last year trying to bed in newcomers and that was the only decent challenge Dubs got. I was adamant last year that only Kerry Donegal or Tyrone gad any hope last year v Dubs but none even made it so Dublin got a handy passage. Also while we all joke about Croker etc today was a different experience. I have no doubt Dublin will beat Meath easily and are still favourites for Sam. Of course the have regressed a little. New players like McDaid Howard Bolger top men but the years are catching up on James ie and a few but still the team to beat.
