GAAGO

As far as I can see the Kerry/Galway and Cork/Kildare games are on Eir Sport, only, and to watch you must have an Eir internet subscription. Which means many people can't watch it, even if happy to pay. Not great.

I signed up to it yesterday, bit of a no brainer for that price. What's the story though with not being able to watch the classic matches on it? Says not available in this region? So what region are they available in? That part doesn't really make much sense.

If you live in Ireland then some matches are not available on GAAGO because another channel have exclusive rights. But, GAAGO can show them matches live outside of Ireland (other regions). Take Galway v Limerick today, it is being shown in Ireland on TG4. I will be watching it, here in England, on GAAGO.

I understand that matches aren't being shown on GaaGo due to TV and so forth. I just don't get that the classic matches are region restricted too. Its a pity.

They're available outside Ireland like some other GAAGO games, which are shown live here on RTE, TG4, Eir and Sky. Can't see why they can't show old games though, maybe those broadcasters prevent it for some reason. The GAAGO is a great job and can watch the games back too.

There are a lot of old games on GAA Archive. A bit fiddly to find stuff usin the filter but some great games there including club games.

In the GaaGo App, click on GaaGo Tv and there's a heading on it called Classic Matches, along with a Documentaries and Highlights respective headings. There's a load of old hurling and football games on it.

How was the quality for anyone watching yesterday or today?

Connection for the cavan game was as stop-start as our football!

Meath v Westmeath game appeared to cut off on me before final whistle with the game in the balance!!

Service good and quality was decent on phone. There was a bit of lagging when casted onto TV but
I would blame the broadband

The quality was decent all weekend I thought. Only thing was that the picture for today's games seemed a lot darker than yesterday's. I noticed it the same last year for the couple of games I paid for.

Macca, we're you watching from your iPhone ?
I had the same problem and think it was the phone being inactive and going back to home page.

I solved it by keeping my hand on the phone while it was streaming to the tv.

I'm sure the younger posters have a better solution.

You can watch full games back on Catch Up but only the games not shown live on TV in Ireland. Just discovered there's an android app. Looks good and watching back games is good, haven't tried streaming a game on it yet.
