Only cause Brady only arrived on the scene in 2001. How many worlds did Ducksy win. He didn't win any titles while also representing his county at intercounty level and his province at interpro level...

Was Brady a fulltime professional handballer when he played for Cavan? Seem to remember him being on the US circuit and playing in Ulster Championship one summer?

Didn't he win a world title in 1977 in doubles with Andy Irvine for the Greatest Irish Folk and Trad album ever produced in the world?

Celtic and Rangers winning the Scottish league, Australia winning Rugby League world cup, Bayern winning the Bundesliga, Cork not winning any AI again this year DuhallowRed (Cork) - Posts: 264 - 01/05/2021 21:16:00 2339654 Link 1 |
That would simply not be true. The standard of football across the country would be of a much higher standard compared to Leinster bar the dubs.

I don't know if the standard is higher across the country than in leinster , Meath gave us a serious game in the league game in killarney last year and could have bate us, but also you have to remember now as well that dublin have been training through the lock down/training ban and that will just add to their advantages over every other team.

Derek Chisora losing a main event is bound to be even more consistent than Dublin winning Leinsters at this stage. SaffronDon (Antrim) - Posts: 2385 - 02/05/2021 12:13:18 2339685 Link 1 |
They've come on a wee bit in the last couple of years but still not great. McEntee will get gate if they dont produce something this year. I mean 1 point in div 1 when they were there says it all. They are still behind Kerry, Cork,Tipp,Galway, Roscommon, Cavan, Tyrone, donegal,Monaghan and Armagh in my opinion. Hopefully they continue to improve though. It would be good for the Leinster championship and the AI as a whole if they were competitive. A Dublin Meath match used to be a fantastic occasion in the Leinster Championship.

I don't know I think in a 1 off game Meath could beat all those teams and I don't think there's a whole pile between us all, I'd give McEntee another bit of time he has them going in the right direction.

Yeah, definitely going in the right direction but maybe not just at the speed that Meath folk would like. How many years has he been there now? 4/5? I'm not sure. Like a lot of counties they seem to have a high turnover of players. Anyways, I think this is a big year for McEntee. My prediction is a mediocre league and the usual exit to Dublin/Kildare in the AI.

Ah ya, look McEntee has put in the foundation of this Meath team and it might well be the next guy that'll take Meath to the next level, but the next level is in around the Kerry Donegal Tyrone Armagh Cavan Monaghan Galway Roscommon Mayo and Cork, but then there is another level altogether and that's the dubs out on their own.
