The league draws appear to be done. I saw on news that Dublin are tolose home advantage v Kerry and game set for Portlaoise. The funny thing is Kerry were supposed to have home advantage v Dublin this year.

Yup Kerry were supposed to play Roscommon in Tralee Galway in Pearce stadium and dublin in killarney as we had 4 away games in last years league , but dublin break the rules and somehow get their game v Kerry moved to Portlaoise?

Can any1 explain this?

I dont like in some instances where there wil be no final as such, but if the teams meet later in the championship that game will double up as a league final..come on for Godsake, if you go to the rounds of organising it so far do it proper..only exception being of course if Covid gets bad again fair enough, but plan as if it wont and let there be a league final one more game...depending on who gets to it I am sure some teams would love to be in one...

It's a load of nonsense, we'll be playing Monaghan Tyrone and Armagh and then we'll all be playing each other in Championship, whoever comes out of Ulster will be be black and blue and probably carrying loads of injuries.

Proper order. Kerry have too many advantages already.
Sure ye won't be travelling anyway so it's all the same.

Agree, have the final or don't. If I read it right, it's farcical how it will be this year. A bit of a disrespect to the competition to be honest and if I were the advertising buck at Allianz I'd thinking again about being connected with it.

was out walking earlier tonight and for my sins listening to newstalk and the weekly friday night "crappy quiz" was on..one question was who were the current NFL champions and they all thought it was Mayo..because Donegal and Kerry played there last game where winner took all that the final and Donegal put out a weakened team as they were out in the championship two weeks after...power of good it done them and Kerry....

They did it in hurling last year. If the counties are playing the same team in a week or two do they really want to play that game? And if they play it are they going to go full pelt at it. The most likely even if there are two teams involved from the same province it will be Ulster, you have lads from Ulster already complaining that they have to play each other in the league - can't keep everyone happy in the time frames handed down.

Last year was a bit different as everyone was caught cold by covid. This year they are actually planning it like this. If Limerick come top of 1a and Welford come top of 1b there is no final....unless they meet in the AI semi and then it's a league final aswell. I get it's impossible to please everyone but at least plan the competition properly, it has a final or it doesn't, either one would be fine.

Last year was different as everyone was caught cold by Covid and the league was interrupted. This year is different as they are actually planning it like this. Have a final or don't, either one is fine. But to have this nonsense where we might have a final or we might not, depending on who plays who in the Championship, a totally separate tournament, isn't proper planning and degrades the league.
