Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "The provincial system is outdated and is not fair but we are all sick talking about it, backdoor system helped but with straight knockout it's a minefield in Ulster, Dublin and Kerry should breeze through to the All ireland semi's, can't see Kerry slipping up again,
Connacht is less certain, flip a coin Mayo/Galway
Ulster? who knows, depends on the draw, I'd make Tyrone favourites, ourselves second fav depending on what form we are after lockdown, the reality is though in Ulster most teams are capable of beating each other in a one off do or die match, so it will be great to watch but is an unfair outdated format.
I'd rather they forgot the league this year and had a normal championship with the back door system or else an open draw."
Agree, they definitely missed an opportunity to have the open draw. If time wasn't on their side why not have the provincial championship and then open draw All Ireland. Leinster over, Munster over, Connacht between 2, Ulster between 7.

Replying To AfricanGael:  "Just talking about senior Inter county football , do you know what the total bill is to run all of the inter county teams on an annual basis, give or take a couple of million ?"
That's a very fair point AfricanGael. The genuine answer is that I don''t know. Another thing I was wondering about is whether or not county board income is treated as GAA income for the purposes of the overall GAA accounts or whether each county board is treated as a separate entity.

Dessie Farrell could miss the whole league- he will be such a loss to the thing- wonderful character. How we will miss his incredible passion and his tell all interviews after games. A hugely charismatic man. I think, we the public are the real losers here.

Replying To cityman73:  "Kerry thought that last year, look what happened."
Indeed they were only focused on Dublin , took an average Cork team for granted and paid the price
Wont happen this year !
