3.23 Loss of Rights of County A County failing to compete in either the Senior, Intermediate or Junior Inter-County Championships shall forfeit representation on Provincial and Central Councils, and shall not be entitled to make nominations, table motions, or participate in Provincial Convention or Annual Congress.
The GAA need to modify the All Ireland championships into 16 senior, 12 intermediate and 8 junior. If Kilkenny don't enter, then they get sanctioned as per the above." We all know that the Association is a democratic and an amateur one and because of that it carries a bit of discretionary flexibility.

In fairness I have never seen or heard of any county penalized or sanctioned for not promoting our national games any more than they are, therefore Croke Park officials seem to be happy enough, however anyone with a bit of honesty in them will admit that hurling clubs and counties across the country are conveniently forgotten about and left to look after themselves.
The main player in Brian Cody's management team lent his assistance to Carlow's Hanrahan's senior football club and helped them win 3 senior county championship titles and finished it off by winning a Leinster senior football title in 2000 / '01. Kilkenny themselves have a historic 3 leinster senior football titles, some of us mere mortals have one or two but they have three, they then concentrated their energies on the game of hurling, the rest as they say is history.
Good luck to them.

Maybe best you do a little research for yourself. Kilkenny compete in the AI Junior Championship as it is. Since it restarted after covid in 2022 they have won it once, and reached 1 of the 2 other finals, only losing by a point." Time for them to rejoin the league. No excuse what so ever.
