Agree with you there jimbo. It has added nothing to the game

An Ulster Ref when an Ulster team are involved, is that normal. Do think the frees are coming easier for Cavan.

Forward mark should go.

Funding needs to be addressed.

Leinster counties not as bad as Dublin make them look.

Flick over to rte 2 there. They're showing a game you obviously aren't watching!

Agreed, it makes it too much like Aussie Rules in my opinion.

Is GAA unique in having so many rule changes?

Fair play to Cavan. They brought something different to the game tonight. Something Dublin hadn't seen before in an All Ireland semi final. A 15 point win. Well done lads, well done now boys.

A training match for them. Not even bothered with goals.

Replying To downtothecore:  "6 in row certain. Thank goodness the hurling championship is competitive..."
The question is how many in a row will it take for the GAA to admit it has created a problem. I've been saying the same for years in that I honestly don't see how they rescue or redress the situation. It's a shame as the Football Championship used to be something I looked forward to each year - now it is just boring as you are pretty sure of the outcome before it starts.

If Dublin were playing in the Ulster Championship, that championship would be as dead as the Leinster Championship now is.

Have to agree. This game was never a competition. It's getting boring now. They are a fabulous team but the gap is just destroying the game as a spectacle. It's time to call it out.

Cavan done absolutely brilliant. But if we're been fair it was like Dublin wasn't near there best evident when they had several goal chances and didn't bother trying to take them

Been saying that for years. A Meath Kildare or Westmeath would be competitive in all other provinces. But we screwed from get go

Have to agree, only for Branagan and Dublin taking it easy it could have been 20 plus points, Branagan doesn't even book the Cavan man for that dangerous frontal challenge right under his nose? This guy should never get another major inter county game, he is only an average club ref.

The GAA have created a massive problem for themselves that will bite them in the very near future when attendances plummet due to one professional team up against amateurs. And it's good enough for them.

Dublin's first free was one of the easiest I have ever seen, Johnny Cooper escaping a black card and Thomas Galligan denied a penalty with Dublin leading by 1-21 to 0-12. But I never rated Brannigan anyway, just marginally ahead of the man from the south midlands.

Great year for cavan well done. Beaten by the all Ireland champions is no shame at all. Hard to compete when clubs like kilmacud crokes have more funding than cavan senior team. But as all dubs will tell you funding doesn't help, home advantage doesn't help and the best one we will play anywhere ;-)
