| What was the big attraction with that rugby game yesterday? Obviously a big deal for locals to Castlebar and its surrounds. But I know people that were going who'd barely watch rugby and some who would never go to Galway to watch Connacht? Smart move by Connacht rugby getting all that interest in the football heartland of Mayo and making it more accessible to a new audience in north Connacht. | Lots of people having a go at the GAA over the skorts. They may as well blame the Irfu. The GAA should use this issue as a reason to pull the plug on joining organisations together. Kew (Galway) - Posts: 269 - 10/05/2025 11:54:16 2607993Link 0 |

| A merger isnt bad at all. You have 3 organisations in the main sharing facilities playing same game by and large woth a few rule differences representing same areas. Ridiculous to have 3 organisations when 1 would be better all round KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 3848 - 10/05/2025 14:35:33 2608022Link 1 |

| Don't be asking those questions... would mean the poster would actually have to justify their opinion. I'm suprised Kew bothers with the GAA given everything is wrong with it in their opinion.... Square_B (Leitrim) - Posts: 1572 - 11/05/2025 10:43:09 2608366Link 1 |
| The financial reports that was done. You doing realise some counties already spend over 1 million on just the mens game? If he ladies are getting equal which they will be expected to get and deserve. You do realise the ladies games are not getting the same attendance? | That women want similar treatment doesn't necessarily mean the spend will be near or more than the spend on men's game Attendances are far from only thing that cover what spend goes onto games KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 3848 - 04/06/2025 10:11:52 2614749Link 0 |

| GAA - €96m (590k members); LGFA - €7.3m (170k); Camogie Association €2.9m (110k). Through matchday revenue, that gap widens substantially, with gate receipts showing: GAA - €33m, LGFA - €807km, Camogie Association €546km while commercial income also demonstrates a disparity: GAA - €22m, LGFA - €602k, Camogie Association - €407k.
