Replying To Greengrass:  "There's nowhere near 6 teams capable of winning the hurling.at the moment. Clare were a breath of fresh air this year. It was great to see. At most at the moment there are three teams capable of winning the hurling. If Limerick get back on the horse next year you could be back to one team capable of winning the hurling. That'll be interesting."
Hard to know that now. Noone would've predicted Cork v Clare final this time last year.

I backed Clare at 10/1 at the start of the year. Limerick not being there was the shock. Next year i wouldn't be looking past Limerick.

Just like Dublin doing 6 in a row which was seriously interesting…. Armagh won last year in the worst final in years… very interesting…. Hurling light years ahead of football, entertainment wise regardless of who or how many times it's won by the same team… Football is a total bore…. as the dwindling attendance figures should show you if you ever get your head out of that sand…

Would it not make more sense for you to follow the hurling then ye adrenaline junkie?

I have always followed the football but it's got so boring it's near unwatchable… Anyone paying in (they are getting fewer and fewer) to watch the sort of rubbish served up at County level these days would need to have their head examined …. This is why a group have been set up to completely change the rules and scoring system to try and get people back interested in the game… Did you not know this was happening…? Please keep up … good lad…!

He certainly wouldn't of got an adrenaline rush watching that rubbish last night in Owenbeg, but the " flat-earthers" on this forum think there is nothing wrong with the game.

How would the proposed changes have made it different?

I thought it was entertaining game. Fault on both sides was poor kicking. Don't see how that be improved by bonus for points outside 40!

Worst case scenario for changes be those AFL games where better teams win by 40 points. Anyway, we will get some idea with Railway Cup trials. Hopefully, they are predictable dog's dinner and that be end of it. Unfortunately, I suspect they are committed to the new game their committee has invented.

Need to bring in the AFL style goal posts, might help a lot of teams

Surely you're not suggesting that football is fine and that supporters should be happy with the rubbish being served up at the moment?

Are you serious when you say last night's game was entertaining? By the way I would much prefer if no rule changes were necessary but Gaelic football is becoming unwatchable. Jim Gavin, Eamon Fitzmaurice and the rest of the review committee are genuine gaa people and have the good of the association at heart. I have a feeling both men will be delighted that the game was shown live last night as changes are now almost guaranteed.
You could argue that Jim Mc Guinnness invented a new game back in 2011-12 and we are paying the price for it ever since,

I'd have Limerick as favourites too. But I wouldn't drop dead of shock if Cork, Clare, Waterford, Tipp, Kilkenny or Galway got their act together and won it either. If Wexford are completely injury free we could do it either. Alot can happen in 1 off season, new players can break through, noone thought Limerick would win it in 2018, or Tipp in 2019.

That's 7 potential ( maybe leave out Waterford ) hurling winners not even counting Limerick…. Not a chance of that many in football

Gleeson coming back next year. Were a little unlucky with officiating this year. Why leave out Waterford?

Dublin, Kerry, Armagh, Galway, Donegal, Tyrone, Derry. Are you saying 'not a chance' all those teams are capable of winning an AI? What's your point in all of this anyway? Some of the most watched sports in the world have a shortlist of elite teams/athletes that usually win all the trophies every year.

Replying to a comment saying hurling has only 2/3 contenders which for some reason the poster thinks makes hurling less entertaining than a football competition that no matter how many teams were capable of winning the All Ireland is still depressing to watch….!

Maybe just watch hurling then if it's 'depressing' you to watch football. I still watch both and enjoy watching both and I know plenty of others who do the same. But unless you are providing a solution to whatever your perceived problem with football happens to be, then I'd suggest giving it a rest on the complaining. People get it, you don't like it. But barking at the moon isn't going to solve anything.

There is a rules group set up to try and radically change Gaelic football so that puts paid to your notion that there is a perceived problem…. there's obviously a very real problem.. Now get your head out of the sand and jog on … Good lad

I guess this must be the first time in its history that the GAA have made any rule changes then, eh? Have a day off lad.
