Tell me, how can SF be considered a reasonable alternative when their policies and history alienate them from the parties they will need to align with to form a government?

King Billy and his boys must have done some serious fertilising down in that part of the country after their victory SaffronDon (Antrim) - Posts: 2499 - 12/10/2020 11:00:39 2296937 Link 1 |
And there we have in the past two posts exactly why SF won't be in power long. Galway poster calling our Gardaí the RUC! As we saw with the Crossmaglen crowd recently, murdering unarmed Gardaí seem to be fair game. Second poster claiming violence in the south if SF/IRA don't get their way... added a TAL for good effect. The terrorism and violence is just below the slim veneer of attempted civility. The vast majority in the south are decent people and don't want to share their country with bandits and terrorists. Crinigan (Meath) - Posts: 1352 - 12/10/2020 11:00:56 2296938 Link 9 |
The Premierleague is on most weekends as well, the shinners supporters love nothing more than a good game of English club football, that should really keep them away from the polling stations :-)

An Armagh man. When you come down here and kill unarmed Gardaí, do you need to go to your local SF rep before going to the law enforcement? You think Gardaí down here want to share a country with that kind of culture and be gunned by "Gaels" from Armagh? And SF barely recognize OnahE as the legitimate defence forces of the state.

Royal comes from the fact that high kings of Ireland were based there, but I wouldn't expect you to know much about Irish history. Naturally we immediately infer the British royal family, which makes sense to be fair.

Happy to keep the politics out of the forum but won't be told by people who don't even reside in this jurisdiction or can vote here how murderers and criminals are going to run my country in the future.

If it talks like a Royal then it probably is one. I'm assuming your knowledge of Irish history doesn't extend to the six counties because you consider that part of Britain. It explains your ignorance pretty well at least.

why are all game not at same time on Sunday in League !. If Mayo are beaten by Galway, them the Donegal Tyrone game will have no meaning and second teams will be put out as they meet again in the Championship in a few weeks, if two games were played at same time , we would have two cracking games. jacktheboy (Donegal) - Posts: 448 - 12/10/2020 11:25:24 2296952 Link 1 |
No one is going to tell you who is going to run the country. We live in a democracy. The people of 'your' country will tell you. If Sinn Féin get enough votes to form a government then they will do just that. It is probably going to happen at some stage. The Gardaí or the Defence Forces will do nothing about it thankfully as we live in a democracy. Judging by the results of the last election I'd wager that plenty of Gardaí probably actually voted SF too. The world isn't as black and white as you perceive it to be. You need to learn to live in the grey. You 'won't be told' by people who don't live in 26 of the 32 counties. You were told, you just disagree and find their prediction unpalatable. I love the way these anti SF heads are still calling Sinn Fein ''SF/IRA". ConnollyDub (Dublin) - Posts: 2007 - 12/10/2020 11:34:58 2296954 Link 5 |

Well the connections are still there for SF/IRA in fairness, I think the other crowds have moved on at this stage. But who gives a single F about FF or FG, you're only picking your favourite colour when you go into a polling station anyway, it's the illusion of choice. My family have significant links to An Garda....indeed where among its first members ....this is a GAA forum yet you have been given free rein for some reason to spout widely inaccurate and dangerous comments about not only political parties but people based simply on what part of the island they live on.... As said before its interesting the vast majority of people making these statements are from Meath.... ArmaghCat (Armagh) - Posts: 86 - 12/10/2020 13:21:04 2296982 Link 6 |
