Both semi finals are on this weekend. It's Cork vs Tyrone and Dublin vs Galway. I think both games will be very close with quality players on all 4 sides. I fancy Cork against Tyrone. Watch out for Cathal O'Mahony, Paul Ring, Damien Gore and Blake Murphy from Cork and Darragh Canavan and Sean Og McAleer from Tyrone. I fancy Dublin against Galway. Watch out for Peadar O'Cofaigh Byrne, Ross McGarry, Kieran Kennedy and Ciaran Archer from Dublin and Sean Mulkerrin and Matthew Tierney from Galway.

Not much talk of the semi finals. Dublin two early goals but Galway kept plugging away and got a great start to the second half but thankfully Dublin settled down after that and kept themselves in front for the rest of the game. A few players from both teams will definitely make the senior team in the next couple of years. I think today will be a close one. I fancy Cork to shade it.

Archer seems to be a class act that's 7 or 8 goals he's gotten this year I think.

I think it is actually 9 but I not 100%. Yes Archer really is a good prospect. TG4 showed the full game later yesterday. There are 3 maybe 4 really serious prospects (at this point in time) for the future. Some good players on the Galway side too I may add.

Congratulations corkcelt that was some comeback and I suppose thurles would be the better place for the final or PUR as a double header with yer seniors.

It is indeed, with the small ball. This thread has been out the U20 football so far.

It was just a bit of a dig at the thread title. It should be the u20 football AI championship.

But maybe the person who set it up has never heard of the other GAA sports

Scheduled for next Saturday right? Unfortunately due to final round of super 8's not likely to get much attention just like last year.

Why didn't they put the 2 semis on the same day?

Cork will have a 6 day turn around now to get ready for the final.

They scheduled them as triple headers with 2 of the minor quarters on each day. It meant that Dublin, Cork, Galway and Tyrone supporters all got to see both of their teams (minors and U20s) play at the same venue in consecutive games.
In my opinion, this was very good scheduling. Having both U20 semis on the same day, would have made it impossible for supporters from all 4 counties to be accommodated in this way.

That's fair enough but then why don't have the final on Sunday and give Cork the 7 days to prepare.

Who are u telling? Still sore in Donegal of the atrocious treatment of our under 21's a couple of years ago. They had to play an all Ireland semi final the Saturday after playing an Ulster final the Monday night. Given the match was in Armagh at 8 alot of players did not get home till 2-3 in the morning. This with Dublin waiting in the long grass afrer a 2-3 week gap from a Leinster final plus got to see us up close a couple of times. I liked the concept of having the 3 games on same day esp for supporters but why the rush for a final I don't know. With all due respect to Dublin and Cork this competition is completely demeaned by its timing and blatant biased ruling. Yesterday Tipp had an under 20 able to play after winning a Munster title during the week. But same rules don't apply. The quicker the GAA allow scheduling taken out of their hands the better.

Kk v Cork on Saturday should be a great game. It'll be interesting to see how Cork react to their Munster Final loss to Tipp thanks to a late Jake Morris goal. Kilkenny will have Adrian Mullen back who missed the Leinster Final through injury. The mood in Wexford will be a bit flat after their seniors lost to Tipp when they looked to be in a winning position not once (5 points) but twice (3 points) in the second half. Tipp will have great belief after the way they beat Cork. I'm giving a very hesitant vote to a repeat of the Munster Final.

Football final today. Cork against Dublin. Should be a good game. I fancy Cork, they have an excellent team. Their forward line is particularly good.

What a fantastic display by Cork. Once they settled, having given the Dubs a big lead, they completely dominated the game. Dublin back-line could not live with the Cork forwards.
