Cavan Club Championship 2019

Ramor played with 14 behind the ball most of the game and Castlerahan still got in for the goal they took and a second missed shot in the second half-ramor had lack of leadership up front when scores were needed, players taking the wrong options and some pathetic wides both during the game and at the very end when the pressure was on-same way Crosserlough folded in the semi final. Experience told for Castlerahan and they were in control for the entire game. They have a big task in meeting the Donegal champions and David Wright will be a significant loss for that game. some of the 'banter' from Ramor in the past week leading up to the final was totally distasteful and very personal and completely over the top on what is a hobby for players, management, their families and indeed supporters alike.

The cavan club champions are probably the word in ulster of all the counties, including Antrim and Fermanagh,a ulster club championship is very far away

It's better then Fermanagh. The Fermanagh final was live on Tg4 a few weeks ago and it was awful. The Cavan final was poor but still was a better game then the Fermanagh final..

Derrygonnelly play Cargin in the preliminary round in Ulster. Cargin had some amount of football to win in Antrim, with replays and extra time.

In terms of footballing quality, that game was abysmal. I couldn't believe I was watching the two best teams in Cavan. Ramor's wides were shocking. Both teams were set up the exact same way the county team plays. Bring men back behind the ball and play keep ball until you work an opportunity. Such outdated negative tactics.

The Donegal champions will soundly beat Castlerahan.

Well done to Castlerahan on winning back to back championships no mean feat. They are well drilled and very patient with ball in hand working the ball around till the right chance arises.
However they will most likely meet Gaoth Dobhair next and that will be the end for them, I'd imagine G.D will be around 1/6 on to win that game, they have a lot of quality and pace all over the field.

Presume you mean worst in your rushed keyboard warrior attempt to run down Castlerahan. They will be no worse than any team that has gone before them out of the county and into the Ulster championship as there has been no Cavan winner ever.......If you looked around the country at a lot of other games the level is similar. Club all ireland winners are exceptional teams, sometimes once in a lifetime group of players-consider Crossmaglen, Dr. Crokes, Corofin, Nemo Rangers to name a few. Quarter final in Dublin at the weekend with a scoreline of 11 points to 4 in the St.Judes/ Vincents game. People are expecting to see Dublin like performances from club teams across the country and need a reality check. haters gona hate........

Castlerahan were patient with ball and went from one wing to the other like Dublin do playing defensive teams so hardly outdated? Ramor were playing Tyrone style trying to turnover and break. In many ways a modern game.

Let's get behind Castlerahan they representing the county. Throwing cheap shots that the Donegal champions will beat them is nonsense because we don't even know who the Donegal champions are yet.
Win or lose if Castlerahan perform to the best of their ability I'd say they would be happy with that and what the rest of the county thinks don't count.
Every club wants to be in Castlerahans position but they not so let's get behind them .

Killinkere maybe only realistic Ulster contenders. Strong intermediate champions in Monaghan and Gaeedore favourites for Ulster.

Rock will take beating again in Junior. A yo yo team who don't stay long in Intermediate.

Everything working in castlerahans favour They should be getting a good look at their opposition, surely the winners of Wednesday's replay will be running on tired legs come Sunday

Big opportunity for Castlerahan today against what surely must be a jaded Naomh Conail team. There are no really big hitters left with Cross losing last night so win today and its as good a chance as they'll ever get in Ulster.

4 games in 2 weeks, and the donegal champions stroll by castlerahan, how bad is club football in Cavan

Abysmal. Truly the standard is desperately weak.
And its getting worse year on year. The county final this year was actually an embarrassing spectacle for Cavan football in terms of its quality.

Too many cooks spoil the broth, and too many clubs have ruined Cavan football. Time for the Co. Board to force mandatory amalgamations.
