And if a true Dublin fan (and all of us on here long enough know that you are) feels that way, imagine how 30 counties not involved in the final feel. I'm overseas so it was a struggle to catch the hurling final but I managed it. I won't be going to the same lengths to catch the football (if its convenient I'll watch of course) and that will make it the first final I won't have seen either live or in the flesh since I was on a plane during the 2000 replay. The GAA have created a monster for the sake of the bottom line. Dublin won each of them by 1 point. They were two of the most enthralling finals in the history of the game. I'm not getting where your negatvitity is coming from. Over 3 AI final matches in the past 2 years (replay included) and over 210 mins of enthralling football with almost 1/4 million fanatics attending these games, only 2 points separated the two teams. If Tyrone decide that under no circumstances do they advance beyond their 45. Letting their dangerous opponent have the ball for as long as they want. Potentially a very good show on TG4 tonight about Tyrone football @20:30. Tír Eoghain - the Unbreakable Bond. Looks like it could be good talking about the Tyrone minors from 1997/1998 and just how many of the players ended up coming on to the successful senior teams from 2003-2008. It will take nerve. Tyrone will be making it clear that they aren't allowing their dangerous opponent to draw them out. When their dangerous opponent do attack, they will be there waiting and could turn their dangerous opponent over when they do transition. Tyrone proved that they can do that in Omagh. The final can become a game of chicken. A tactic that will bring about a deluge of criticism. We're favourites that's right and ok. We were favourites in 2014 and that didn't end well for Dublin. Tyrone will be well up for this and won't want the first chance in a final in a decade to fail. They'll be dangerous and it's set up for them to cause an upset ala Donegal. Thing is , are Dublin better prepared than 2014 ? I know what I think. Please god no! Be under no illusions, if Tyrone were to pull this off this would eclipse anything they achieved in the past 20 years or so and I dont mean any disrespect to Armagh and Kerry in that period. My post was in relation to Liam's (a Dublin poster!!), agreeing that there is an inevitability about this final. I know better than to write off Mayo but their early exit this year could be seriously worrying.
