I'm going to be a little bit hipster here and go for Paddy Bradley of Derry. Whammo86 (Antrim) - Posts: 4517 - 07/07/2017 16:33:37 2012057 Link 0 |

No Hermit everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that's his, we don't have to agree with each other on this thread, it's personal choice!

I can't believe no one has said Brian Whelahan from Offaly for hurling. Without doubt he is the best hurler I've seen play the game. I'm lucky to have seen him play several times in person. Matthew (None) - Posts: 1077 - 07/07/2017 19:53:14 2012115 Link 0 |

Eh, I'm not the one saying that anyone picking Sean Cavanagh as a possible choice doesn't know his football!! So think you should direct that comment to the Tyrone poster above who I was responding to.

Ah Hermit, there's nothing wrong with Mullane, he's as passionate a hurler as you're ever likely to see, just skill wise he wouldn't lace the boots of most of the lads mentioned above. I mean, how could you possibly say was better than Shefflin, Walsh or Carey?

Ok from looking through the posts, the general consensus for hurling is DJ Carey. There is a wider number of picks for football and there doesn't seem to be a clear winner between Cooper, Cavanagh and Canavan. Didn't expect to be hearing names I've never heard of before. Anyone who knows who sack walsh is, answers on a postcard. The Galway and Wexford posters seem to be more tribal with their picks! Maybe the adrenaline is still pumping from last Sunday! Matt Connor of Offaly is the best footballer I've ever seen.A career cut short by a car accident but he was a phenomenal talent. endgame (Roscommon) - Posts: 2391 - 07/07/2017 21:45:44 2012165 Link 0 |
