Fermanagh hurling boss Joe Baldwin has criticised the CCCC for the delay in announcing the time and venue for his side’s Allianz Hurling League Division 4 final against Louth.

Fixture details for all of the upcoming Allianz League Football and Hurling League finals were confirmed on Monday afternoon with the notable exception of the Division 3 and 4 hurling deciders. It wasn’t until yesterday that Fermanagh and Louth learned that their final has been fixed for Truagh, Co. Monaghan this Saturday at 1.30pm. The Division 3 final between Mayo and London will throw in at the same time in Newbridge.

“It’s very, very disappointing and disrespectful to hurling,” Baldwin told the Fermanagh Herald.

“To me, there’s no reason why this couldn’t have been sorted out. It just seems to be ad-hoc, and the decision is made at the end of it.

“This should not be my focus today. My focus should be bodies tonight (at training), my team, it takes away from it. And you feel like if you don’t highlight it, it’s being patronising to journalists who ask you the same questions and nothing is done about it.”
