Fermanagh GAA has thanked outgoing senior football manager Ryan McMenamin and his backroom staff for their "hard work and commitment".

Having been appointed on a three-year arrangement back in August 2019, the Tyrone All-Ireland winner was expected to see out the remainder of his term.

However, at a county board meeting last night, 'Ricey' informed Fermanagh officials of his decision to step down after two seasons at the helm in the Erne County.

A statement from Fermanagh GAA read: "We have been notified last night by Ryan McMenamin that he is stepping down from the position of Fermanagh Senior Football Team Manager.

"Fermanagh County Committee would like to thank Ryan and his entire backroom team for all their hard work and commitment over the last two years.

"We wish Ryan and all members of his backroom team every success for the future."
