Offaly scored a remarkable late win over Dublin in the Allianz Hurling League this evening at Croke Park where it finished 0-27 to 1-23.
Johnny Kelly’s men trailed for the most of the game at headquarters, as the capital men held a 0-14 to 0-10 advantage at half-time and the frees of Donal Burke helped them maintain that lead into the closing quarter.
Offaly’s late push would see points via Oisin Kelly, Ravenhill and Brian Duignan flying over and Kelly would give them the lead with two minutes left in normal time, before a Burke point at the other end was backed up by a Brian Hayes goal on the 70-minute mark to seemingly slam the door shut.
Duignan and Dan Bourke sent over quick points in response and Duignan got the equaliser ahead of this sensational strike from Ravenhill (watch it below) cementing a landmark victory for the Faithful County.
