The Donegal senior football squad will fly out to Abu Dhabi tomorrow for a warm-weather training camp.
The trip coincides with the lifting of the ban on collective training. From tomorrow, all inter-county squads are permitted to return to training and Donegal have decided to kickstart their 2025 preparations in the sunshine, just as they did last year when they travelled to Tenerife for pre-season training.
That trip didn’t seem to do them any harm as they went on to claim Ulster SFC and Allianz League Division 2 honours in Jim McGuinness’ first season back in charge. Donegal GAA gave the green light for this latest training camp at a county board meeting last month.
The squad, which has been boosted by the return of Michael Murphy, will stay in Al Reem Island.
