St Eunan’s are into their third Donegal senior football championship final in four years after holding out for a one-point victory against Gaoth Dobhair last night.

It finished 0-8 to 0-7 at MacCumhaill Park, where the Letterkenny side had led by two at the break thanks to scores from Conor O’Donnell Jnr (three frees), James Kelly and Niall O’Donnell.

Eoin McGeehin and Eoin Dowling kept the points coming for St Eunan’s after the change of ends while their counterparts stayed in the fight to make it a two-point game with five minutes remaining.

County man Daire Ó Baoill landed a brilliant free on the hour mark to make it a one-point game in injury-time, but Gaoth Dobhair wouldn’t be able to find a late leveller as Barry Meehan’s men advanced to the decider where they will face either St Michael's or Dungloe who clash at 3.30pm this afternoon.
