Former Derry underage star Callum Brown made a dream start to the AFL season when he scored five goals for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in their victory over Premiership champions Collingwood at the weekend.

The Limavady man also finished with 10 disposals as GWS Giants cruised to a 114-82 win at the Engie Stadium on Saturday. His performance was described as "unstoppable" by team-mate Tom Green.

Brown played in Derry's 2017 All-Ireland MFC final defeat to a David Clifford-inspired Kerry before lining out for the Derry U20s the following year. He subsequently signed for the Giants and penned a new two-year deal last year.
