well kathleen the wheel has turned the full circle....here we are bk again in another final 8 yrs later. limerick has been a thorn in your side for the past 8 yrs. if ye win, it will bury the demons of the past 8 yrs ...if ye lose i cant bear to think how youll react. best of luck my dear.

Galway won one as well in 1980 v Limerick. Remember that great day for Galway when Joe Connolly gave the brilluant speach.

Unfortunately can't make the All Ireland Final in person as I m expecting a big 900kg black limousine cow to calf......she reminds of the limrik hurling team......she is a bit late and definitely her last chance. I call her broken Treaty.

Katser, you might not know how to predict games but you do have a sense of humor. Good luck with the cow. Hope it's a great calf. It's money saved anyway for you not to go all the way to Dublin and to come back empty handed.

True but none of the current team were even born then.
Im quietly optimistic about our chances sunday week but this Limerick team have no hang ups playing Galway.

I think we are doing fine on the physiology front our S&C team have seen to that and we also have the best in the business when it comes to sports psychology in Caroline Currid.

I would agree with your point that we don't know what to expect from Galway, but remember it also applies the other way. Will these talented youngsters on the Galway team ever have faced anything like the fire and fury that Limerick can bring?

Buzzing for the game Sunday. Galway are rightly underdogs but definitely are hitting form, have a very clear system that is bought into, and have their stars in Mannion and Whelan hurling very well again and unlike previous years against Limerick they have a lot more around them now.

Limerick are about 17/18 deep with All-Star calibre players who have no fear of the trip to Dublin on AI day.

I must say I enjoy the games against Limerick and have a lot of respect for them. In 18' especially I found their supporters unbelievably gracious in victory, had some great chats with them every time we have played. Also a big fan of John Kiely and think they have changed the game of hurling forever with the style of play/profile of player they look for etc.

No matter the result, it has been a good year for Galway hurling and the county are rightly behind the team now. Bright future
