Derry and Kildare. Kerry beat Cavan and Mayo to win in 1997. History remembers winners and how you get there or who you beat means nothing in the end up. Best of luck to the Galway hurlers next Sunday. Well I've heard it levelled a fair bit at that team but your point is fair, the winners will always be remembered regardless of the route. They were brilliant in 98 and im pretty sure were strong favourites going into the final. We also beat a mayo team who reached the previous 2 finals and roscommon werent bad around then either. Congrats. to Mayo. They put up a big score which is always a good sign regardless of the quality of opposition. I think every true connaught supporter should now wish the "Kobe - for one year only!" brigade the best of luck in the final.
