Only 10% voted to return Minor AI Final to curtain raiser for Senior Final.
Why though is Connacht MFC ending 8th May 4 weeks before AI Quarter Final?
Meanwhile the Ulster opponents playing over the next few weeks while Connacht lads get bored nland stale training.

Not to be for u 20s.
Limited squad did very well to win Connacht and almost sneaked it last night at the end of normal time.

For some bizzare reason the mods didn't publish my after match comments.

Take two..

A great journey has come to an end against a strong Kerry who will take some beating in the final.

Our fight back from 7 points behind in normal time to bring the game into extra time was once more the pure grit and character of this team on display and but for a last ditch tackle we would have won 0-12 to 0-11

Extra time caught up on our legs and how much the ultra competitive Connacht championship took out of us. Kerry in comparison had two less games and two was strolls past Clare,Waterford.

The manner that we conceded those three goals in 5 minutes was frustrating and Eoghan Carthy off injured during that spell was a huge blow.

Thanks to all the players and management for the time and effort put in and winning Connacht against the odds.

Still thrilled after last Sunday. Hard luck to the U20s. Next up for the seniors Tyrone which is a tough draw and fixture. If he's fit, I think Brian Stack should start. I'd also start Daire Cregg. Mark Dowd is doing a great job but sometimes it does make sense to change a winning team. Hope for another full house in The Hyde on Sunday week to cheer the team on.

Brian Stack has been fit for few weeks but lacks game time and will need plenty of minutes to get up to speed. Might get some valuable minutes against Tyrone very unlikely to start.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Agree, Stack is a class act. We'll need him yet.

What are you agreeing too? That Brian Stack who hasn't played a single minute for Roscommon this year should start against Tyrone?

I'm saying that a fit B Stack is a starter for Roscommon any day of the week. It's a management call. No one posting here knows if he is match ready yet. But when he is he should be in imo.

Lads can we all calm down a bit.
Nobody on this this thread knows more about Roscommon football, how all the players are going in training, and developing a game plan for the Tyrone game than Mark Dowd and his management team.
Just let them at it.

And only the 26 fittest lads make the match day 26 (24 outfielders anyway).

Mark O Dowd has proven to be an excellent manager. He's won Connacht and now a few people decide they should decide who starts the next day. If everyone is fit I believe the team won't change. He has formed a terrific bond with the players based mainly on respect and loyalty. It's his call

When a team lacks that bit of quality they can't move much from their strongest 15, with us we could have a different 26 out every week with the competition for places in the camp.
