Kerry out out the best players available to them Sunday and a good few have All ireland medals but were nt good enough. The scoreline flattered Kerry tbh."
The scoreline did flatter Kerry, the softish frees you got also kept the margin close but make no mistake we know this was a very understrength Kerry, it will be a different team we'll face in Championship if we meet this year again.
Kerry are favs in my book for Sam, it will take a very good team to stop them.

Yeah I was also totting up the names of the lads Kerry were missing the last day and it was a sobering thought.

The Cliffords, the Geaney's, Tom O'Sullivan, O'Beaglaoich, Shane Ryan, Mike Breen, Gavin White; Sean O'Brien, Mark O'Shea....

Tip of the cap to whatever team can beat Kerry in knock-out Championship football in 2026

Hi lads,

it wouldn't be often we'd meet ye in Killarney in Championship football. The novelty of it means I'm half thinking of making a long overdue trip down to your great county. It should be a cracker given our recent history!

Just wondering if you'd have any tips or advice. Obviously the journey is prohibitive in terms of travelling down and back on the one day. So an overnight will be necessary. Ideally I'd love to stay around Killarney and enjoy a night out after the game. But Dhia sabháil the price of accommodation is bananas.

Would there be anywhere outisde of Killarney good to stay?
Also, where is best to park on the day of the match itself?

I know I am not from Kerry but the Parkavon hotel is very good. It's about 15 minutes walk from the town centre and not that expensive s prices go. I expect the Kerry guru's will offer loads of advice but you have put a lot of work into the league predictions over the last few years so I decided to give you my tuppence worth.

Hi Lockjaw. The game should be a great occasion and Killarney is a brilliant town.Loads of pubs and a rockin town.Although I live in Dublin now I will definately travel home for this titanic fixture.

There are loads of hotels in the town and surrounding areas and just use google or trivago or booking.com.
Plenty of parking too but you can park at your hotel more than likely.Scotts hotel and the Eviston house hotel can be reasonable afaik and both in town centre.
Fitzgerald stadium only a few mins walk from town centre.
It should be a great occasion. We only need the weather now.Enjoy your trip.

I don't know if there is something else on that weekend, or just a weekend in Killarney as we're coming in to summer, but I'm seeing hardly any availability the night of the 23rd unfortunately, looking quite difficult unless you drive down and stay somewhere other than Killarney itself.

A great town so I'm hoping to find something to stay down and enjoy the craic

Just hotel prices in Ireland in general I think. I had a brief look at hotels in Ennis, and they were very expensive as well.
Galway is mad altogether, but I might have someone to stay with there, if it comes down to it.
