Westmeath have a free shot on Sunday. No one is giving us a chance . They can take absolutely nothing from last Sunday. If they can go out with the mindset of leaving nothing behind them I think they have a tremendous chance . Meath will come to tullamore full sure they will win . Let's wait and see

oh they will Mick, they brought a huge crowd last year to O'Moore Park. I can imagine they'll have a big crowd in Tullamore too. Hopefully we do as well.

Meath had to wait 15 years to beat Dublin in the championship , I wouldnt be high and mighty. Yes Meath have improved a tonne since we played in Mullingar last year. Robbie Brennan had inherited Colm O Rourkes team with a perfect age profile, the foundations were already there for him to build the framework. Dermot mcCabe hadnt the same luxury with the amount of players that left after Dessie leaving. We are still building a new team but badly need to get out of Division 3 if we are to improve. However I dont think we are a millions miles off Meath at the moment and the win against Longford will have boosted the confidence in the camp.

"Do us proud" If anything that's a bit condescending to Westmeath from you

Westmeath aren't much behind Meath or Louth. Louth haven't beaten any big team in championship yet . If ever they had the chance to beat dublin it's this year . Laois Westmeath and Kildare all bet dublin when they made the breakthrough

Aren't much behind? Meath beat Dublin, Kerry and Galway last year in the All Ireland. We couldn't beat Limerick or Wicklow last year in the Tailteann. We couldn't beat Wexford when the chips were down in the league this year barely scraped over Sligo, lost poorly to Laois. We are worlds apart.

Unusual decision in kinnegad tonight as the pitch didn't seem to be that bad, but everyone has to go with the referee decision, I am lead to believe, player welfare due to the conditions was his main point and he should be commended for making the hard decision, the behaviour of one irrate fan (a well known former kildare captain and manager) will hopefully be in the refs report. Embarrassing the abuse he gave referee for game abandoned while ref was concerned for players welfare. Wishing the kildare midfielder all the best in recovery

Opinions on the game being called yesterday? Obviously player welfare is the main thing and wishing TJ Nolan a speedy recovery. But I'd say a lot of Kildare players and supporters will be frustrated - bar Will's superb two-pointer, we weren't at much. That said, the conditions were shocking too.

Meath are far ahead of Westmeath and the best team in Leinster currently. The best of luck to the team on Sunday but I'd expect a comfortable win for Meath. All Westmeath players would need to play absolutely outstanding which they haven't done for two games in a row this year!

Yes wishing Kildare midfielder TJ Nolan a speedy recovery. He had been causing us all sorts of problems around the middle. I wouldnt blame the conditions on the pitch for the injury, it was an unfortunate collision as he was taking a shot. To be honest the pitch didnt look all that bad from the stand but conditions obviously deteriorated as the game progressed. There was an area of the pitch that the referee wasnt happy about and he made the call on the grounds of player welfare. We were struggling to get the ball out of our own half and Kildare were cleaning us out on kick outs so we were lucky to get to half time only three down.

Fixture planner has been distributed to clubs, it seems that players will be waiting until after the tailteann cup semi finals to know when the championships start, seems like another own goal for our county board, just pick a date and stick with it so players can plan accordingly
