Colm Brennan is his name I've heard

Only name I heard was a fringe player from Roundwood.

If Wicklow clubs and players don't want intercounty managers bringing in external players then they need to improve. I disagree with bringing external players in to play for a county, whether it is Wicklow or any other county. I express my disappointment and opposition when Mick O'Dwyer did it during his tenure as manager. At the same time, counties do it because they recognise that players within the county aren't good enough or players who are good enough are unwilling to play for their county. The reason Wicklow are in division four and are unable to play in a higher division on a regular basis is due to players not being good enough. Unless or until clubs address the standard of the players they are developing and produce better players, there will be a temptation for the county manager to import players. I wish I didn't have to write this post but there needs to some realism within Wicklow. The reason counties win and have success is due to the players, not managers. Kerry don't import players, why? because they produce enough quality players to play for their county and achieve success.

I echo this 'well done'. I don't want to jinx the hurlers who are going well. Hopefully they can push on and gain promotion. I'm looking forward to following minor footballers in the summer and see if they can make an impact in the leinster minor championship.

Well done to the minor footballers today, some very good footballers on the panel, also some big men on the team , which we dont usually produce. Also very good result for the hurlers, they are going very nicely, well done to all involved

Two significant wins today. Boscos boys are in a good position for promotion and the minor footballers had a good win against Carlow. It will be great to follow them in the Leinster proper. They should give us a bit to shout about.

Just checked the latest table. We are now second to Roscommon. Roscommon have 9 pts. We and Donegal have 8 pts and we have a slightly better scoring. Think we have 2 games left. All to play for still and Bosco won't be getting ahead of himself

In relation to the hurlers - based upon what i can find, there is only one round of games left. Wicklow are home to Louth while Donegal are away to Roscommon. Really hope team will be promoted, it would be a great boost going into the summer championship.
