Published team. Just Carroll of Brigids players named. 4 of the Brigids have trained the last few weeks and another 3 recently joined up. Eoin McCormack also returned to training so likely changes to be made to that team that will appear on the program The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 4271 - 14/02/2026 13:04:05 2656331 Link 0 |

Great 2 points for ye today. Some classy footballers on display. Felt like ye had white line fever at the end though couldn't retain possession. On another note, hooter is a load of balls and needs to go tribesmen (Galway) - Posts: 160 - 15/02/2026 15:51:41 2656567 Link 1 |

Great result for the rossie today. Fair play to mark o dowd, he is doing a massive job so far . He made no excuses about players missing got on with the job and developed other players. Big boost for team and the management today, it will give them huge encouragement for the rest of the season Charliepace (Donegal) - Posts: 18 - 15/02/2026 16:37:47 2656581 Link 0 |

Delighted to pick up the valuable two points on offer. We had fluid, flowing football in the opening 35 minutes not to mention dominance of the kickout exchanges. It was dream stuff to be leading the All-Ireland champions of 2024 at half time by 12 points. The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 4271 - 15/02/2026 16:50:55 2656588 Link 1 |

Armagh looked to play on the edge today, a lot of late hits on Roscommon players going by the highlights. Was it like that at the game or TV showing it up worse than it was? ryan (Donegal) - Posts: 760 - 15/02/2026 18:47:34 2656634 Link 2 |

Ya he is doing a great job and as you said he has never complained about missing at least ten players. I'm sure the Brigid's lads will be back for the Galway game but how can you drop anyone after the three brilliant performances we have put in. Mark has a tough job on his hands but it's a good thing

We were wiped at midfield in the second half. Plenty to work on but we have to be delighted with 4 points after three games minus the Brigid lads .Main thing is to stay up and build then towards the championship. Mark Dowd will have plenty of options for his starting 15 come championship. So far so good for the Strokestown man.

Good point. Mid field went AWOL second half. That old problem area is like a recurring boil for Ros!

Armagh changed their tactics and their midfield for the 2nd half but Roscommon didn't change their restarts. fearnua (Galway) - Posts: 313 - 16/02/2026 00:27:26 2656704 Link 0 |

That's a major takeaway for us alright. Kept kicking to the same place in the 2nd half and losing the ball. Armagh also hit their chaos button in the 3rd quarter and the yellow cards started flying, but Roscommon did really well to cope with all that madness. Jack Duggan's cut in on the endline was top class.

Great to see a bit of nastiness and some 'dark arts' coming into this Roscommon team. Far too often down the years we have been beaten because we were too nice on the pitch, don't get that this year at all. Still work to do but yesterday was a very satisfying result. You'll win nothing being soft at this level. This was a fantastic result and importantly two wins in a row in The Hyde. Dowd and Co have done a great job. Can I just say fair play for organising the kids meet and greet too and thank you to the players for participating. Very important for the future and creates a lot of good will in the county.

Any further comments on your team with a lot of new faces winning against the odds and scoring 3-18 (27) while doing it? Galway also beat Armagh when "Mid field went AWOL" Shooting efficiency and ability to get goals at the right time was key in the victories for both Galway and Roscommon against Armagh. You wouldn't want to be confusing the goals Armagh coughed up to Rob Finnerty and Enda Smith in their opening NFL games with an 'ability to get goals at the right time'. More a case of Armagh's ability to self-destruct in those moments.

Huge win yesterday. I said a few weeks back if we are going to stay up, we would need a few results against the head and this felt like one of them. Goes a big way towards making up for the manner of the Kerry defeat. GerBo (Roscommon) - Posts: 91 - 16/02/2026 12:56:22 2656778 Link 0 |
