Replying To ExiledInWex:  "I think he did the wrong thing. He had momentum and stopped up when he should have kept going. If it was a sub he might have thrown it across, it was Aaron Gillane. He had 1 thing on his mind. Goal.
If Gillane had tried to pass it across the goalkeeper might have intercepted it.
Its easy to be wise now and hindsight and all that but make them have 3 actions to get the goal - the pass, the catch, the shot - instead of 1 - hit the target."
Right or wrong thing he had to make the choice because of the runner . Thr turnover from workrate by lynch . They were the points I was making . It took a turnover and teamwork selfless efforts off the ball wins games . Not any individual going as a lone ranger hoping to get headlines.

Replying To hunting:  "Liam Ryan is meeting Rossiter this week,so sorry I made a mistake he hasn't said yes or no as of yet but S Reck is not coming back this year unfortunately. Our minors played tipp over the weekend lost by 6 or 7 points, in a good game apparently"
We let in some sloppy goals, something which can be worked on and tightened up. We outscored Tipp in points, though we hit alot of wides, which is something else we can work on. Also apparently they had more starters from last years Eugene Carey meeting playing on their team than we did, although with it being the first game of the year its obviously not possible to say how many of the weekends starters will actually start for either team come the championship.

Replying To Fulgrim:  "It would be some boon if Jippo stayed on another year. He's a postman around town, I'd see him sometimes, and always think he's a criminally underrated 3 in the county game."
I don't think hes underrated around the country Fulgrim, hes very well thought of by any hurling people I know. Really hope he comes back.

You lads should realise that the players in the Munster counties get far better looked after both on and off the field, they get great endorsements and well "expenses". Wexford are way behind here.
Its easy to say players should put life on hold but maybe if they were playing in front of full houses in Wexford Park and treated like hurlers in the Munster counties they might be more tempted to be part of the setup?
Train all winter and put life on hold to play in front of 1000 people in a league match? Supporters have their part to play and every poster on here is one, I know many here support the team well but I guess plenty don't.
Parents put a love of hurling into their children. My father hurled with us every day, our uncles arrived and the hurls all came out.
It needs everybody.

Replying To Timbertony:  "It's funny to pick out those two as watching them underage you would have said they were certs to have had long careers at senior level. Lawlor has had chances in multiple positions but never really nailed one down. Big opportunity for both of them to show what they are made of in Croke Park the next day."
Tbf, Carley hasn't played much at senior inter-county level, I'd say you wouldn't need much more than one hand to count his league and Championship appearances prior to this year

I'd rather Lawlor at wing-back or midfield (Would even wonder about him at corner-back), would probably prefer him in midfield tbh

Who is Patsy? We desperately need liam Ryan back, if he does the question is will he be back to his old self,as I have said we need height back there, if not Jacko and chin will have to come back otherwise we're in trouble.

Doesn't alot of a players profile, and therefore endorsements, depend on the player himself? I know players who wouldn't want to be on tv or anywhere else advertising anything. Not sure about "expenses" tbh, but seeing as our team expenses arent small in comparison with the Munster counties, on a time and game basis, surely we are paying around the same as everyone else?
Agree 100% about the support, and the nurture/family environment.

Patsy is Cian Molloy's nickname.

I don't think we should be trying to make a centre back out of chinner or jacko unless they're going to win it, clear it, then sprint to the opposite 45 and win it themselves.

What exactly do you mean by this?

Chinner and Rory have done fairly well from endorsements and brand ambassador stuff.

A good few of the lads have sponsored cars etc.

How many lads were Tipp missing due to Nenagh CBS involvment still?

Wouldn't say any. Doubt Nenagh had the lads in training on a Sunday, and in any case a school like Nenagh would be very unlikely to need Juniors playing Senior.

Ardscoill Ris beat CBC Cork in the Munster Junior A final.

It goes without saying that it can't be over emphasised the importance of Liam Ryan to our team. He really is a colossus and a vital cog in our set up.
According to one poster he is to meet Rossi .
So hopefully if fit he will be back training soon.
Maybe the above is just a rumour and no truth in it. Hopefully that is not the case and we get Jippo back.our backs have not been overly solid so far and that's against Joe Mac teams.
With experienced players like Jacko, patsy, Damien and Ryan in the team along with the newcomers such as Redmond, Wickham, Kinsella and Roche we will become more competitive and ready for the tough games to come in the championship.

Tucker has played more games than Patsy. Although Patsy has played more Championship minutes Id be guessing. Both would be newer players as regards Senior intercounty.

If we get a fit Jippo back it would be huge for us. Please god he can get a bit of luck and stay injury free. If he was to return to training now I wouldnt rush him back let him build his fitness and robustness we need him ready for Newbridge v Kildare first round of Championship. I agree with you that it is a worry the scores we are conceding against Joe Mac teams. Im hoping with the return of Damien Reck to 6 and Donohoe we can cope v Dublin next week then hopefully Cian Molloy and Jippo return in time for championship which is only 9 weeks away I think.
Im reasonably happy with the work we've done so far with loads to improve on particularly at the back. I thought our passing and movement looks to be improving particularly the last day.
I think Keith is starting to get an idea of what our best 15 will be .
We need to be really competitive against Dublin and Clare and hopefully by the end of the league Patsy, Jacko and Jippo will be back to further strengthen our starting 15.

The Munster counties just have a naturally higher profile. The game is just of higher profile.
In Wexford, and Leinster in general nothing is done to promote the games and as a result the game is falling further behind the Munster counties.
We, as a province need to get our house in order. One All-Ireland in 12 years tells its own story and even before that it was a legendary Kilkenny team that carried the candle for Leinster hurling since the 90s.

I'd say of the newer lads Patsy looks the most comfortable at championship level. Just my opinion of course and that's excluding Eoin Ryan who's a big loss.

Galway won the all ireland in 2017. Kilkenny won in 2015. That's 2 in 10 years.
I know Galway are from Connaught but are playing for years in Leinster.
