In a good position alright but I wouldn't be underestimating strong rivals. Donegal and Galway came flying out of the traps in the league. Galway are obviously disappointed with how the All Ireland went. Both will be at it again next year.

Lol what a load of yerra talk from you lot as per usual.

Galway are the most overated team ever ! Donegal also. I don't think you lot will win it next year because I think you just caught onto the new rules quicker then the rest of us and we will have caught up. Don't understimate Mayo under Andy either !

I was expecting Cavan's great performance in Castlebar. Mayo were always going to be goosed when it was going to come down to head to head. Mayo pushed Donegal as expected. Small margins. 7 strong contenders going into next year.

Cavan were absolutely fantastic! Fully deserving winners.

Whether people like it or not, Mayo will be a tough nut to crack. Same goes for Dublin who will have home league games in Croke Park, as they have had since 2011, in preparation for the business end of the championship.

Threw the game? That's the stupidest comment you have come out with yet and that's saying something......

Two more weeks until the provincial draws. Remains to be seen if the later draw will be considered more successful in generating a bit of excitement. The draws in early October seemed out of place and too soon in the middle of county championships. Seems a more logical sequence that the All Star awards have taken place before the provincial draws. Some want both combined but that's probably a UEFA influence on some!

So you are saying your players deliberately went out to lose a group game against Cavan because they were so certain of beating Tyrone and Donegal?

So Mayo's great response in Omagh wasn't about being stung by Cavan?!

Cavan were at it from the start in Castlebar. Fully deserving winners. How it didn't open The Sunday Game that evening was shocking by RTE.

Provincial championships will be drawn on Thursday. Will be able to map a bit of what next year's championship will look like. Provincial finalists at home to league qualifiers in All Ireland Round 1.

So no incentive to actually win your provincial final. Once you're in it you're fine.

In fairness Kerry would beat most teams in Munster with their second team so I don't think if their matches are home or away matters too much.

Kerry obliterated every Ulster team this year especially Cavan. Every Ulster team would be looking to leave the province with Kerry in it. Ulster counties only got a foothold in early 90s and early 00's. Aside from that usually Kerry or Dublin dominated from the 70's onwards. Cork, Galway, Meath and Offaly all had short spells of success at national level. Afraid that's it!
