I agree completely intermediate needs to be looked at? Surely Naughton Mulryan from Caltra will get a chance. I am hoping they were overlooked as they just finished up after kilmeena defeat the week before

Agree, if they are good enough they have been looked at Thats one thing PJ and co cant be faulted for. There might be an outlier but everyone is given a chance, even Varley from Clonbur was looked at, and most of the county would never have heard of him. Sean o Domhnaill on the maroon and white pod calling for 4 divisional teams to be added to senior and reduce the number of senior clubs to 12. Quoting roscommon as where its worked brilliantly but from talking to guy who follows the Roscommon club scene he says its a disaster and whilst they only come in provisional qf stage they've been hockeyed and hasnt had huge buy in form clubs. Don't know when he thinks they're going to play the intermediate championship for players involved in these clubs in what is a compressed calendar without mentioning the limited time in calendar between football and hurling for dual clubs. The day we needed to be utilising Barry McHugh was the 2024 final v Armagh, when we missed anything up to 8 placed ball opportunities within Barry's range. These were made up of about 3 misses, 1o2 landing short, and 2or3 'elected to go short'.

Your source in Roscommon,Gaagael15 , is correct. The addition of Divisional teams in Roscommon has not worked for the very reasons that the ongoing junior and intermediate championships make it impossible for the right guys to commit to make the the teams competitive. facethepuckout (Roscommon) - Posts: 227 - 19/11/2025 20:56:25 2645361 Link 0 |

Not wrong about the divisional teams. It's been a disaster here . Well intended but I think we are too small for it to function. Maybe Fajway would have a better buy in

We need someone who can walk into the middle of the pitch and say, I don't care who are, I'll be heard. Take no prisoners! MTS (Galway) - Posts: 284 - 19/11/2025 22:35:15 2645372 Link 0 |

A non runner in my opinion , it worked in Kerry and Cork because there is history of it , and even with that you have less Divisonal teams now in Kerry then ever. What could be looked at is a Divisional Competition like they have been running in Meath , and Dublin have had something similar this year. So Meath have 4 teams they play each other and its a shop window for the County Team They are playing at the moment so lads that are finished a good weeks with the club . You could have for example Conamara v City Pearse Stadium on a Tuesday North Galway v Galway South/East in Ballinasloe on a Wednesday Have a final on a Sunday , and split the Gate with a charity - think thats what they do in Meath . And its given lads exposure and its had some very good games . Only an idea! puckemhard (Galway) - Posts: 244 - 20/11/2025 08:49:35 2645380 Link 1 |

Fair play to him he won all Irelands and was a good servant for club and county but when I listen to him on that Pod a lot of what he says I would not take seriously
