For sure, but neither can it be entirely ignored for next year...

I wasn't surprised by Cavan's performance in Castlebar. Kerry's performance in the final was predictable as well. The tougher quarter finals and semi finals stood to Kerry.

I don't ' hate ' Donegal I'm not mad on you lot though . For obvious reasons. One thinking your above mayo and better all around even though you lot have won just 2 all Irelands is laughable ! I never fear you lot when playing you haha

You say Donegal have "just won 2 All Irelands" !! Well at least they have seen their county win two all Ireland titles. There's very few people alive in Mayo when we last won ours. Will you ever just stop. You're embarrassing the rest of us. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11816 - 06/11/2025 10:29:14 2643241 Link 7 |

Jimmy McGuinness spoke well at last weekend's Donegal GAA awards banquet. Kerry were at it and took the game to Donegal from the very off. The reality is all counties are back to ground zero now as plans are put in place for 2026. We'll have to wait another 3 weeks for the provincial draws. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9262 - 06/11/2025 12:29:46 2643253 Link 0 |

Yes didn't collapse, Kerry 5 two pointers to none for Donegal proved a big difference in end. in Sean O'Shea and David Clifford Kerry have among the best two point shooters around and when it comes to knock out football in 2026 any opposition they face will have to come up with a plan on how to limit their scoring.

"For obvious" Ah will you ever get over 2012? Thank God I was around for Donegal's All Ireland's 1992 and 2012. It's one thing you will never have to say.......that's what's laughable

Most GAA supporters can't stand Mayo... for 'obvious reasons' of course... Christ on a bike  Square_B (Leitrim) - Posts: 1577 - 07/11/2025 16:44:45 2643411 Link 3 |

Tyrone were a tough opponent in the semi final. No All Star recognition for them. They'll be under the radar a bit in league in the spring. Winning Division 2 and Ulster will be within their compass, and they'll be in the All Ireland shake up. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9262 - 09/11/2025 13:57:36 2643624 Link 0 |

So you think Tyrone will walk Div. 2? Tyrone were very poor in 2nd half versus Kerry in semi. Game was over with 20 mins to go. They have no size or shape to their forward line so alot will have to change.

Tyrone are under no radar, we all know the squad they have and the success they've had at under age in recent times all feeding in now to the senior set up. The league as we all know isn't important as long as you stay in div 1 and get yourself ready for Championship, Ulster will be a massive battle as always, we are going for 3 in a row Anglo Celts, I'd rather we focussed on Sam Maguire but it would be a hell of an achievement all the same. I think Kerry will be even harder to beat next year, going for All Ireland number 40, crazy stuff. Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 3545 - 09/11/2025 17:12:27 2643679 Link 0 |

Never said they'd walk it. My prediction is that the Tyrone captain will be climbing the steps of the Hogan at the end of March to be presented with the Division 2 cup. If my prediction is incorrect, so be it. An unhealthy obsession by some with gotcha culture where people are making a prediction without the Back to the Future almanac!

I want the spotlight on Tyrone! No two ways about it. They'll be in the All Ireland shake up. Hard to predict Ulster until the draw is made. Donegal, Armagh and Tyrone the contenders. Monaghan, Derry and Cavan the challengers. At least two contenders will be on the same side of the draw. What can be said at the moment is that at least one of Donegal, Armagh or Tyrone will be away to a provincial finalist in Round 1 of the All Ireland next year. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9262 - 09/11/2025 18:25:34 2643703 Link 0 |

Kerry are in the best position next year but of course Tyrone are contenders. They have some class players and real classy forwards like McElholm and the Canavan brothers.Ulster though is so tough its a tough battle for the big teams.Any of Donegal Armagh Tyrone Monaghan or Derry can win Ulster and Down and Cavan can take a scalp or two.
