Some of them seek it out while others are probably feeling the cringe and would rather be anywhere else. Some of these young lads didn't want to talk during interviews and why would they.
Young people are entitled to enjoy themselves but there certainly seemed to be an artificial, plastic tone to it. None of this has anything to do with our games.
The GAA needs to revise the whole thing including who is involved in the selection process and also how the press (especially of the tabloid nature) are allowed access into the event!"
Absolutely well said . Yes agree on the selection process is just bizarre .

It shouldn't just be all about the teams who made the final . It should be spread out to the lower ranked teams is well .

To be fair the players and partners are well entitled to a nice night and get dressed up. But the Irish medias attempt to create a faux celebrity sports culture trying to imitate the British tabloid wags crap is pathetic. Leave them the hell alone to enjoy their night. It's like back in the boom years the Sindo magazine used to try its best to create an Irish celebrity scene with photos from the main social spots in Dublin every weekend, contrived nonsense.

I agree. Some of the questions that JC asked f lads were just full of cringe. The way that Jack o Connor was asked to relive his rant after the Meath game about Kerry supporters had absolutely no place there last night. She just seems to thrill on controversial moments and the same in the Sunday game. Regarding the all-stars they never excited me because they are totally subjective and it really is a razmatzz glitzy event that the media make a killing on. I see the GPA well represented there also.

Replying To S1234:  "And why shouldn't a defender get an all star over a forward ? It's about how well you do in your position not about what position you play . Each position is just as important as the other."
He All Stars have always been 1 GK, 6 Defenders, 2 Midfielders and 6 Forwards

Why would they change it this year to put a defender in at corner forward
Rightly or wrongly the people picking the team didn't think he was one 6 best defenders. To say he should been thrown in as one of 6 Forwards is silly
