Replying To bad.monkey:  "Some excellent matches live on DubsTV (free) this weekend:
Friday night
Vincents v Whitehall - a must win for both to progress. Vincents get goals which I think will win it for them.
Judes v N Barrog - winner goes through so should be a good match. Hope Barrog do it

Sat
Crokes v Cuala - Crokes are through but Im sure would like to knock Cuala out. So many top forwards now back for Crokes, they should win
Brigids v Plunketts - Brigids likely too strong for Plunketts"
Brilliant, thanks bad.monkey, I can't really tune in as much as I would like but that Vincents Whitehall match should be good one.
Crokes would only love to knock Cuala out.

Mad tactics by Whitehall. O'Donnell full foward while Vinnies banged in 5 goals other end! Costello v one of best midfielders in country!

Impossible to see other than Na Fianna or Crokes winning it.

Crokes favourites but Na Fianna have been putting our virtual second teams. Almost caught the v Boden but still won a man down.

I reckon they'll step up gear when required and retain Dublin.

Dublin SHC Relegation playoffs:-

Judes v Plunketts
Whitehall v CC

CC must be favourites for the drop.

1/4 Finals
Na Fianna v Cuala
Lucan v Brigids
Crokes v N Barrog
Vincents v Boden

Should be four cracking matches. Crokes should get past Barrog but could be closer than people think. Other three are hard to call

Cuala seem rejuvenated. Very little crossover with the bigballers but might be stretching Con at this stage with week on week tough games?

I think we could have 2 one sided games tbh.
Fancy Crokes and Lucan to win with a bit to spare.

The other 2 are hard to call.

For the big clash, I think Na Fianna will prevail.

Na Fianna, Crokes, Lucan.

The other one might be interesting. Vinnies limited enough but good players in every line and they won't fear Boden. Ran Na Fianna to extra time same stage last year. Won't win championship but whoever beats them will need use of ice baths!

Some terrific hurling over the weekend with Vincents v Boden and Na Fianna v Cuala both going to Extra time - Boden & Na Fianna getting through. Crokes looked strong against Barrog. Didnt get to see the Lucan win. Open draw for semi finals I think.

Great opportunity for Lucan to make it to the Dublin SHC Final now.

I wouldn't write them off in a final either tbh. They are motoring along nicely.

But the other semi final - wow - gonna be a humdinger....

Yeah Crokes v Na Fianna will be cracker. Unfortunately Donal Burke looked to have picked up another injury. No luck that fella.

Vincents Boden was a great game. I missed Na Fianna Cuala but hear it was a cracker too.

Na Fianna at 7/4 to beat Crokes is bet of the year. Sell the house, fill your boots.

Can't see anything other than comfortable win for Na Fianna in f8nal.

Lúcán are much improved and have a solid 1 - 9 backboned by Chris Crummy and Bellew. Can't see that holding NF fowards for 60 minutes.

Real weakness is inside line. Paul C is tough as nails but not among top ten fowards in county. They don't present enough of a goal threat and hard to see them posting 1 -26+ they will need.

How were Na Fianna 7/4?
That a joke?

No idea. Crokes were favourites from start of championship and oddsmakers too lazy to actually think about it. As were most punters obviously!

Crokes entire game plan seemed to be to restrict the NF goal threat and hope for a Hail Mary from Hayes or Considine. Both went off before the end and they never really looked liked scoring a goal. Once dam broke there was no coming back.

Looking at likely contenders for AI I would give NF a reasonable chance of retaining it. On opposite side of Leinster draw to Kilkenny and Offaly winners. I see Sars looking good to retain Cork despite my being assured by Cork people (not Sars ones) that Sars won a soft county last year and that a Dublin team would never beat a proper Cork side like the Glen,,,,

I'll leave that one there.

I think you are right about the final Barney - but Lucan have been ticking along nicely and they might just cause a massive upset - in this year of club upsets....
