Supposedly only back for a couple of weeks I'd presume if they got to a final and he was home he would have to play. Serious addition to already a team in big contention.

Have you been to many games this year or what are you basing your opinion that donamoyne will account for the harps? Live in the town so have been to a lot of their games, beat most teams easily, lost to Blaney by a point in conditions that were horrible, absolutely took carrickmacross apart and probably should have won by more, didn't see the killaney game tbf. Toss of a coin for the top 5 teams based on what I've seen.

Is it's tho?, the two midfielders are decent but to have hopes of getting further you'd want learns and another. Not saying they won't take another step next year tho.

If McCarville wasn't from scotstown you'd be calling for Bannigan's head for playing him! Plenty of better midfielders in the county than him.

I find it hard if Kearns and Mulligan who are often suggestion on here were to make it back. The game has moved on quite a bit since they last played in many ways. Reaching the very high level like last Saturday would be beyond them at this stage I would think. 222 (UK) - Posts: 872 - 03/07/2025 10:04:47 2623344 Link 1 |
Is mulligan even playing for Lattin now? Know he was playing soccer but not heard of him involved with under 20s or gaa related in general in 3/4 years

McBennett head and shoulders above him as is Leonard from Eire Og. Connolly from Kilanny. Hanratty from Blayney. Beggan from Clones.

Conor Jones of Inniskeen going very well for a young lad, this years Senior Championship should give him a great opportunity. Dean Connolly of Killanny a fantastic footballer, but probably untested at the highest level, but certainly worth a look.

Just an opinion on watching Blayney play both Harps and Donaghmoyne. Blayney a really young inexperienced team so it may be a little early for them but can definitely see them being a force at senior level in 5 years

Kearns and Mulligan not returning to county. They have no interest. Sean Joes gone for good also.

Connolly is serious player. Malachy had him in a few years ago after he single handedly beat Scotstown up in Killanny in a league game! Eddie Walshe worth a look too? Ronan Grimes was a great county minor. What about the other Connolly lad?

The conditions were only horrible for the harps that day were they? And not blayney? Terrible excuse. Failed to mention they were down by 4 before a late consolation goal.

Mentioned earlier of Dean Connolly from killanny, I'm pretty sure he was brought into the panel at some stage this year and didn't stick it out. which occurred a lot from the start to the end I believe, players like Colm Lennon, Sean jones, paudie mcmahon and others, probably came down to not getting the minutes OR maybe a belief that they might've been better then someone who was which is the mentality of any player at top level and id agree in some cases that some mightn't have been given that chance. McCarville wasn't up to that level at the start in my opinion but I do believe he improved significantly throughout the campaign. personally surprised mcbennett sat on the bench for so long as doesn't seem he was injured like its heavily believed on this forum. Jack Doogan from Magheracloone is another lad that was on the panel at the start this year but didn't stick it out. I think injury was his problem. He's big enough and powerful enough, has plenty of ball in him. He could be worth a good look as well.
