A draw against Longford today,we always seem to struggle against them at underage level. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 20/02/2016 20:24:58 1826845 Link 1 |
Barry callaghan and his team have done a good job with the Minors over the winter and in the early part of the year. They beat Offaly well in the first league game and should have beaten Longford last week but conceded 2 goals in a minute - lack of concentration I think! There are still a few guys to comeback - James Conlon in particular will make a difference. Royalblufill (Meath) - Posts: 518 - 23/02/2016 13:52:06 1827480 Link 0 |
Colm Coyle has the U17 squad this year. AnFearBan1234 (Meath) - Posts: 110 - 23/02/2016 15:38:13 1827524 Link 0 |
Colm Coyle and Kenny Morgan and the lads with the 17's are doing a great job with that crew too. A number of that team have moved up to the minor squad - Robbie Clarke, Oisin Martin and Daragh Nolan have started the last 2 weeks and a couple of others like Diramuid McCabe, Dan Devine and Connall Aherne have also featured Royalblufill (Meath) - Posts: 518 - 23/02/2016 16:52:18 1827553 Link 0 |

After yesterdays result let's hope that Barry Callaghan, Colm Coyle, Joe Treanor and whoever else is looking after the Development teams is getting the full support and financial backing of the Co. Board. Supply chain needs to deliver. AnFearBan1234 (Meath) - Posts: 110 - 29/02/2016 17:08:26 1829467 Link 0 |
An fear there is little hope in the county board backing the underage with finances they've cut back if anything. Shame really we completely neglect future players for meath and I'm afraid results like Sunday will happen more often. minors having to pay for their own gear or get nothing is wrong. I can only imagine what funds are available for the younger teams. Why can't the underage section not have its own sponsor? We are losing young players because we're not offering enough. username.if (Meath) - Posts: 67 - 01/03/2016 10:05:36 1829637 Link 0 |
Just looking at pic of Adam Kealy for Dunshaughlin CC on homepage .....can anyone tell me if he's on the county minor panel ? The chap has pedigree and is a quality defender in his own right. Kepak10 (Meath) - Posts: 164 - 10/03/2016 15:43:13 1833347 Link 0 |
