In her 103rd year, Molly had been Kinnegad's oldest living person before passing to her eternal reward on October 4. Born Molly Bracken on August 27 1912, she was a member of one of Kinnegad's best-known families. She was predeceased by her husband Billy Nolan, a native of Co. Laois. They spent the early years of their married life in Kinnegad, where Billy worked in Andy Coyne's pub, before moving to Mountrath and then finally to Fairview in Dublin where they ran a shop and post office in nearby Finglas. They later managed the famous 'Yacht' pub in Clontarf.

Molly was extremely proud of her family's deep-rooted involvement in the GAA. Her brother Seamus (Shay) won an All-Ireland junior championship medal with Westmeath in 1929, while she was a cousin of the wonderfully-named Paddy 'Steelbar' Bracken of Kinnegad and Westmeath fame. Molly was also related to the Mulhollands, who are one of Galway's foremost football families.

She was laid to rest beside her beloved husband Billy in St. Finian's Cemetery, Clonard.
