Killucan GAA lost one of its most dedicated members in November with the passing of Joe Croash. A former player, he coached and trained numerous underage teams for almost 35 years. Joe was very quick to recognise potential in a player, but this was never to the detriment of other players who he always gave his full attention and encouragement to.

Needless to say, he was held in very high regard by the hundreds of players he coached down the years. As a passionate supporter of the Killucan footballers and the Raharney hurlers, he rarely missed any of their games. Along with his beloved wife Marian, he was involved in many community efforts, yet was never one for the limelight.
