Nell (nee Carew), was a lifelong Gael who travelled the length and breadth of the country following Westmeath football and hurling teams and was also a regular at Scor competitions. Predeceased by her husband Joe, her son Seosamh (Joe) is deeply involved with the St. Mary's club in Rochfortbridge and is a former treasurer of the Westmeath football board.
