Former Westmeath dual player Joe Moore of Hodgestown, Killucan passed away on Monday, August 8th, 2016. A legendary figure in his home village, Joe was synonymous with Killucan GAA and, indeed, with the local community as a whole. Joe's natural talent for sport manifested itself at an early age and he quickly made his mark playing football for Killucan and hurling with Raharney. He did himself, his family and his parish proud by going on to pull on the county jersey on numerous occasions.
