Anthony 'Tony' White died suddenly at his Creggan Upper, Athlone residence on Monday, May 23rd, 2016, aged 47. Tony was an excellent young footballer with Garrycastle, representing the club at all levels before emigrating to the United States in 1989. He continued to follow the club's fortunes from the other side of the Atlantic and always tried to take in some Garrycastle games during his trips home.
