John 'Sean' Molloy, Mearscourt, Rathconrath, Mullingar passed away on Thursday, April 13th, 2017. An honorary member of Milltown GAA Club, Sean started playing for Milltown  in the late 1950s and was a commanding presence at centre half back and midfield for many years. He kept in touch with what was happening in the club and the parish after emigrating to find work in the 1960s. Sean became involved in the club upon returning home and held the position of Minor Chairman as well as helping out with the weekly lotto and other fundraising initiatives. He was delighted to witness both the men and ladies win their respective championships in 2015 and was especially proud as the Milltown ladies won the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship at Croke Park that year, with his granddaughter Kelly on the team.
