Thomas 'Tom' O'Connor of 17 Montree, Athlone and formerly Ballinamore Bridge, Ballinasloe, Galway passed away on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017. Tom was a prominent, loyal and hard-working member of Southern Gaels Hurling Club, whom he served as both a mentor and club official during the 1970s and '80s, helping lay down the foundations that made the club the success it is today.
