A Donegal ladies footballer is €25,000 richer after winning the top prize in Glenswilly GAA’s development draw.

Leeza Cunningham from Glencolmcille won the huge cash prize on Saturday night, just two days before she was due to start her Medical Science exams at ATU Galway. The 22-year-old plays her club football with Naomh Columba and is also a member of the county senior panel. Second prize of €10,000 was won by Leah Doherty from Clonmany, while Fiona Gallagher from Letterkenny scooped third prize of €5,000.

The draw raised in excess of €300,000 for Glenswilly, which is the club of returning Donegal football star Michael Murphy, after prizes were paid out.
